seo consultant in manchester

If you're ready for a strategy that better aligns with you and your business, I'm the perfect fit.

For ecommerce and service-led brands, both serious about investing in success.

Once, I was a freelance SEO. But hold on, before you’re outta here, we can still work together! I still offer SEO, but with a lovely team behind me at Absolute Design. I won’t hand you off to someone and hide behind a screen. I love my check-in calls with clients and I’m only an email away. Fill in the form below and we can start the discovery.

Drop me message and let’s chat about your website.

Get started by filling out form below with as much detail as possible! I aim to respond within a couple of days. You can also contact me on LinkedIn.

Your questions, answered.

Are you an SEO in Manchester?

I am! Although Absolute Design (the ecommerce agency I work at and run all 1:1 SEO work through) is based in Nottingham, I work remotely from Manchester and go to the office once a month.

Why are you not a freelance SEO anymore?

Being a freelance SEO is exhausting, sometimes lonely! I was a freelance copywriter, ecommerce strategist and SEO consultant for over 10 years before I joined an agency. It means I can still work in SEO but the stress and work + life balance feels healthier. It works for me.

Do I need SEO help if I have a one-product website?

You may not think so, but hell yeah! SEO is for everyone and every site, even if it’s a one-pager (though those are a dying trend now) or a website with just one product. Even with one product you have much more content to work with, like your blog and supporting pages.

I just want some free SEO advice, can you help?

Yep! Although I dont work 1:1 for free, you can find my free SEO tips and advice on my blog. I cover a lot of topics, including content  strategy, technical SEO, ecommerce SEO and industry updates.

The 3 big ones I recommend are Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Semrush.

Each tool has its strengths, and pricing model. For across the board SEO, I recommend Semrush (it includes position traking, competitor research, etc.) but for technical SEO, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs are great.

Pricing wise, you can start for free with limitations (eg. crawled pages).

What is your lead time to starting a project?

We can schedule an SEO discovery call as soon as this week (depending on how far in the week we are). Then, if you’re confident you want to invest in SEO, we could start as early as the following week.

Do I need an SEO if I just launched my website?

If you migrated from another platform, and haven’t had anyone manage the migration to ensure SEO continuity, absolutely. If it’s a new website, an audit is still a bonus. It will help identify the areas your structure and internal architecture could be improved.

That aside, having ongoing support for content strategy, SEO reporting and competitor research will also help take your business forward.

Do you only provide SEO services for ecommerce?

Although I mostly work with ecommerce brands, we’re not exclusive. If you’re a service-led business, let’s talk! Service pages have just as much weight for SEO as product and category pages.

Can we meet in person to discuss working together?

Yes, absolutely. We can meet in Manchester (at your office, or a mutual place, like a quiet cafe), or at the Absolute Design office, based in Nottingham. I visit the office on the 2nd week of the month.

How can we work together remotely?

First, the discovery call is scheduled via a Teams meeting (we can use Google Meet or Zoom, if you prefer). Then, when you start your SEO retainer, we’ll continue in that fashion for our 1:1s and check-ins.

Do you do anything other than SEO?

As everything goes through Absolute Design, your support plan covers more than just SEO. Our studio branches off into design (both branding and UI/UX design), development and ecommerce strategy.

How will I know when the investment pays off?

Ah, the mil. dollar question! A well-designed website is just that. For your website to be profitable, it needs to be your money maker. Then, when you invest in SEO, that needs to pay off too.

I’ll set the benchmark before we start working together so you can see exactly where you were, and where you want to be. Every month, you’ll receive reports on where your website gains are, like organic traffic, engagement, bounce rates, even revenue when setup correctly.
